Project Overview
Mayo Healthcare, a 50 bed skilled nursing facility in Northfield, Vermont received a fresh new look for its residents and staff. A 4,800 sf addition and just over 8,000 sf of renovations were carefully carried out in phases to accommodate the needs of the occupied facility.
Alterations consisted of converting various resident rooms to single or two-bed occupancy, and an added residential wing consisted of five new private and four new semi-private rooms. Within the existing residential wings, rooms were “bumped out” to add more space and to accommodate private bathrooms for residents. The addition of radiant ceiling heat panels provide the residents additional warmth and comfort. Reconstruction of the central core included the main nursing station, report room, medication prep room, business offices and an occupational therapy rehabilitation gym.
