Project Overview

The C. Douglas Cairns Recreational Skating Arena was built to the delight of sports enthusiasts. The 30,000 square foot facility is used by area schools and hockey leagues throughout the entire year and is also open to the public for free skating during various times of the week. The arena has a seating capacity of six hundred and includes locker rooms, a warm-up area and snack bar for fans to enjoy in between periods. Due to it’s overwhelming success and continued demand for ice time, Engelberth constructed an additional rink and connector between the two facilities. The 33,000 sf addition included a 200’ x 85’ Olympic sized rink, locker rooms, a warm up area and an inviting 2,000 sf entrance way.
