Quality
It's in the details
Known for our unsurpassed quality of work, we value our outstanding reputation for providing exceptional construction as much as being a reliable partner. Our belief is that quality is planned and built — not inspected into a project during construction. It is a continuous process and requires the commitment of all project team members.
Quality starts with expert planning
Planning is the foundation for quality control in any project, and it begins with a strong and detailed understanding of our clients’ needs and expectations. Working closely with design team members, we ensure your requirements are accurately reflected in the final design of your project.
While this planning lays the groundwork, putting it into practice through construction management provides you with consistent, measurable results every day. While we’re known for our excellent self-performance, we also work with subcontractors and suppliers, solely with whom we have thoroughly prequalified to ensure you get the best value for your project in terms of service, price, schedule, and quality of work.
Mock-ups provide essential detail
Mock-ups are essential to quality control at Engelberth. They are implemented both as virtual mock-ups through BIM (Building Information Modeling) and physical mock-ups to create a visual, detailed quality management plan on every project.
A punchlist from Day One
Engelberth Construction begins it punchlist at the very beginning of a project, rather than waiting for substantial completion. This rolling list of items requiring immediate attention is used to track and correct deficiencies when first observed, ensuring that delays are minimized and your certificate of occupancy is obtained on schedule.
Quality meetings and inspection checklists
At every Engelberth project site, daily quality inspections are performed by the project superintendent, and weekly meetings are held with subcontractors to review the quality of work. Checklists are maintained to ensure work is corrected promptly.
BIM360 tracking
Our tablet-based BIM360 tracking system provides our teams with quality control checklists to track progress and flag risks. Its cloud-based format enables real-time information sharing among all team members: owner, designers, engineers, and subcontractors. The result: improved communication, quick resolutions to deficiencies in the field, and long lasting, high-quality projects.
Continuous improvement
Our quality process doesn’t end at project completion. Committed to continuous improvement, we evaluate each and every project, observing lessons learned from each effort with a consistent eye on improvement.
