Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognizes employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Acceptance of a worksite into SHARP from OSHA is an achievement of status that singles you out among your business peers as a model for worksite safety and health.
Engelberth Construction is using the Burlington International Airport’s Parking Structure Expansion as a focus project for achieving SHARP Status. The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program recognizes participants for their exemplary performance in correcting all workplace safety and health hazards and who implement and improve effective safety programs on their site. Working closely with VOSHA and Vermont Project WorkSafe, Engelberth has gone through the corporate approval process and met the criteria which includes; review of safety policies, review of Engelberth’s training and orientation process, review of our last 5 year injury stats and our accountability and responsibility processes. A complete package and report has been forwarded to the U.S. Department of Labor for approval. Engelberth looks forward to being the 8th company in Vermont to achieve SHARP status.
