The Vermont Department of Labor awarded Engelberth Construction the SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) designation for the Burlington International Airport Parking Expansion Project. SHARP, an OSHA consultative cooperative program, recognizes employers for their achievements in workplace safety, health management and reduction of workplace injuries and illnesses. The program provides employers and employees guidance for continuous improvement to their safety and health efforts.
Engelberth is only the third construction company in the US to achieve this designation and we are continuing in the VT pilot program with the US Department of Labor’s approval to help prove the construction industry can achieve SHARP status and that the program should be offered throughout the US.
Success would not have been possible without the hard work and cooperation of ECI’s Project Team as well as our valued subcontractors. Our thanks to all their efforts.
